Gab's Magical MS Tour in Italy

 Saturday 26th August 2023 Today is the day we leave Venezia and the final boat ride out to the airport. The last time I have to jump the jetty. A very quiet start to the day with our usual breakfast. It was then checkout at 11am from the hotel but a wait of 1hour and 20 minutes for our water taxi to the airport. We would just have to hang out in the lobby which was cool, had toilet facilities, and was connected to Wifi but a bit boring.  So Paul arranged for the taxi to arrive at 12.  A much better idea. I jumped the jetty into the taxi and off we went through crowded small canals Our jetty. I have to jump from the step across a gap onto a moving boat. (not the boat on the other side of the canal.) I was too traumatized to take photos early on in the small canals where we bumped into other taxis and gondolas. Corners are the worst.  Friday  25th August 2023 Today is the last full day in Venezia and it is a bit of a lazy rest day.  But if we are going to have a walk into San Marco, then we need to do it early as it is very hot but less so the earlier one sets out.  So goes the rationale for a not so leisurely start today.....  A whole nest of them as we went to breakfast. OK so when seen together like this, they do look less like rubbish, maybe. And so we set off after breakfast, for a nice walk to find a church. Paul has been doing walks each morning and there e some nice things he would like to show me. Looking back to our hotel from our first bridge Paul descending steps on the bridge along our very own canal.
